Space. Form. Feeling

Designing beyond the tangible

From the inspiring landscapes of Tuscany, in Italy, our studio operates as a laboratory of artistic expression, shaping spaces and objects that bring our creative vision to life across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, the Americas, and Australia.

At the core of RADS lies the creative, cosmopolitan vision of our principal, Ricardo Antonio.

Born in the vibrant cultural landscape of Rio de Janeiro, Ricardo’s professional journey is deeply rooted in the golden era of Brazilian Modernism.

His early career was shaped by a long-lasting collaboration with the legendary Oscar Niemeyer studio, in Rio, where Ricardo had the opportunity to share a daily routine alongside modernist titans like Roberto Burle Marx, Lucio Costa, Athos Bulcão, and Janete Costa, as well as intellectuals such as anthropologist Darcy Ribeiro and art critic Marcus Lontra Costa, to name a few.

This rare, firsthand heritage instilled in him a design philosophy where fluid lines, sensuality, and bold innovation meet.

Living in London, as a global nomad, Ricardo's dual background in journalism and architecture allowed him to document the world's early 2000s scene in parallel with his design practice.

Through articles and interviews for magazines like Wallpaper* (UK), Casa Brutus (Japan), and Projeto (Brazil), he engaged in direct dialogue with the world's architectural elite - from Zaha Hadid and Jean Nouvel to Ron Arad, Richard Rogers, Herzog and DeMeuron, Charles Correa, Ross Lovegrove and others.

At RADS, however, he delves deeply into spatial and product design.

From his award-winning Ravello seating collection for Poltrona Frau (Italy, 2002), to his Dunes kitchen and bath collection for Dupont Corian (Brazil, 2007), HOMMM collection (Italy 2015) and his recent creations for Furla Casa (Italy, 2025/26) and Tonino Lamborghini (Italy, 2025/26), RADS' portfolio is the ultimate expression of Ricardo’s commitment to timeless, cross-cultural innovation and his passionate, cosmopolitan vision of contemporaneity.

Today, RADS collaborates with an exclusive roster of international powerhouses, including Tonino Lamborghini, Furla, Legame Italia, and HOMMM, amongst others.

Since 2017, through the co-founding of Pleasure-Lab, we have pioneered the "Ergonomics of Pleasure"—a revolutionary approach to design that prioritizes not just human anatomy and ergonomics, but mainly, human nature and its relationship with the world around us.

Welcome to RADS.

We design the extraordinary.
